Maya Deren's "At Land" (191024)

Avantgarde, black and white, silent film, filmmaker Maya Deren made At Land in 1944. It features a short chess position at 3:33 after Maya has crawled over a long dinner table.

Then at 11:45 starts a longer sequence featuring the Anderssen - Kieseritzky, London 1851 (immortal) game. However, the move order is incorrect. The black bishop on the c5-square is mysteriously displaced to the d4-square after the black queen has captured on b2. In the real game, the bishop captured on g1 before the queen took on b2. The film move order is 18. Nd5 Qxb2 [Bd4] 19. Bd6 Qxa1+ 20. Ke2 Bxg1 21. e5 Na6 22. Nxg7+ Kd8 23. Qf6+ Nxf6 24. Be7# 1-0

The final position is correct, and beautiful.
